Vrå Højskole var fredag i sidste uge på toppen af Danmark. Vejret viste sig ikke fra sin pæneste side, og det gav anledning til dette digt fra 22-årige Honoka skrevet på engelsk
It had been a long, hard road to get there
I’m in Skagen.
It’s raining today.
Temperatures are as cold as a Japanese winter.
After getting off bus, we head towards northernmost of Denmark.
It shower of rain and wind to my face relentlessly.
I can’t see well in front of me.
I’m cold, tired and painful.
I still keep walking on the sandy beach.
Suddenly, a scene from “JACKRYAN” crossed my mind.
It’s scene many refugee gathered on the beach for flee own country.
It’s a totally different sentimental from what I have now.
However my situation remind me of the scene.
(When I walked long way while I fought rain and wind it remember me of the scene.)
30 minutes later, I finally reached our destination.
It is northernmost of Denmark.
It‘s where the two oceans meet.
Waves came from both sides and make a splash.
They crisscross and enter each other’s ocean.
Little by little they return to their own ocean and a path appear.
In that moment it feels like time has stopped.
